Two offers for consultancy on the selection of private management for Romanian state companies have been filed so far, according to The Money Channel. George Butunoiu and the association between Roland Berger and Pedersen & Partners have submitted offers to draft the task books for the recruitment companies which will select private managers for state-owned companies. The deadline for submitting offers expires on Tuesday.

“It is a great initiative from the state as it shows the need for certain changes within the system. If we will be selected, we will be happy to support the state. We would be a facilitator for the selection process of executive search firms, and we would not make any decisions on who would actually be hired,” Ulrik Rasmussen, Partner with Pedersen & Partners told Romania-Insider.com.

The state companies Hidroelectrica, Oltchim, Societatea Naţională a Lignitului Oltenia, Electrica Furnizare and Compania Naţională Romarm will all have private management, according to the Romanian Ministry of Economy.
