Three days of electronic music at Romanian castle this August

The Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni, Prahova Valley, will host a three-day electronic music festival this summer. Cantacuzino Frequencies will mix electronic music with culture, history, and the fresh mountain air between August 28 and August 30.

A total of 30 international and local artists will perform on the festival’s three stages. Various musical styles will surround the castle during the event, from deep house, techno, and melodic techno, to electro, progressive and new age music.

The line-up includes Nick Warren (US), Guy Mantzur (Israel), My Favorite Robot (Canada), Marc Poppcke (Germany), Cid Inc (Finland), Nick Devon (Greece), and Disco Dure (Austria). Romanian artists such as Mahony, Victor Stancov, Marika, Alexandru Jijian, and Alex & Mircea Babescu will also entertain the festival’s public.

The first 500 tickets cost RON 90 (EUR 20) and can be purchased online here. Find more information about the festival on its official web page.

The Cantacuzino Castle in Busteni was inaugurated in 1911 at the wish of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino. The building, made of bricks and stone, is built in a neo-Romanian style and stretches over a surface of 3,148 sqm. Works of well-known painter Salvador Dali will also be on display at the castle between July 22 and October 4.
