A street bearing the name of Romania’s capital Bucharest was inaugurated in the French city of Strasbourg on Monday, November 24.

The street, named Rue de Bucarest, is located in Strasbourg’s newest district.

The name of the street was unveiled by Strasbourg’s mayor Roland Ries and Bucharest’s mayor Sorin Oprescu.

Strasbourg is located in the Alsace region of France, on the left bank of the Rhine river. The city hosts the main headquarter of the European Parliament.
