The crisis in Romania’s labor market will deepen in the coming years, and this will be one of the biggest challenges in the second semester of this year, according to the business barometer published by KeysFin.

“It is increasingly hard to find trained employees at the right cost,” said Mihai Mindrutiu, Vitacom Electronics financial director, who was polled for the barometer.

He added that the export of labor to the West shows its negative effects more and more.

The internal consumption will continue to grow, due to the advance in purchasing power.

The surveyed business people said that predictability, especially about the Fiscal Code, would ensure economic stability and would boost the local business, according to KeysFin. Simplifying documentation to access EU funds would also be needed, they also said.

The barometer was carried out on a sample of 150 local companies in June this year.
