Romania’s former Transport Minister Dan Sova questioned by anticorruption prosecutors

Romania’s former Transport Minister Dan Sova was questioned on Wednesday morning (August 13) by prosecutors of the National Anticorruption Directorate DNA.

Sova said that he is being investigated for complicity to abuse of office in the case involving three contracts concluded between Sova and Asociatii law firm and state energy companies, reports local Mediafax. The prosecutors are investigating how these contracts were assigned.

He added that the questioning was a result of a complaint made by somebody, and it’s normal for the prosecutors to make investigations in this case.

The contracts investigated by the prosecutors were signed in 2007, reports local Mediafax.
