Teodor Baconschi met Berlin Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies, Uwe Lehmann-Brauns (in picture, left), and Parliamentary State Secretary in the Ministry of Economy and Technology and co-president of Romanian-German Cooperation Council, Peter Hintze. Teodor Baconschi also brought into discussions Romania’s accession to the Schengen area, supporting the country’s position. As an answer, the German officials promised support for a constructive treatment regarding Romania's joining the Schengen area. Teodor Baconschi started his two-day visit to Germany on October 4.
