Industrial and medical gases producer Linde Gaz Romania wants to take over the local company Buse Gaz and its subsidiaries, and the Competition Council is currently analyzing the transaction.

Buse Gaz and its subsidiaries are active in the supply of bulk industrial gas and bottled gas.

Linde Gaz Romania is the subsidiary of the German group Linde AG, one of the largest industrial gases and engineering groups in the world. The Romanian subsidiary posted last year a net profit of EUR 19.4 million, up by 43% compared to 2013, and a turnover of over EUR 114 million.

Buse Gaz is also the Romanian subsidiary of the German company Buse Group GmbH. The local company had a net profit of EUR 224,000, after losses of EUR 535,000 in 2013, and a turnover of EUR 6.3 million, slightly up compared to 2013.
