Romanians win gold and silver at 2010 artistic gymnastics world championship

Romanian gymnast Ana Porgras on Sunday won the gold medal on balance beam at the 2010 Artistic Gymnastics World Championship in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Porgras scored a 15,366, the top mark of the day, which brought her gold at the balance beam finals, the first medal of Romania's delegation at the World Championship in Rotterdam.
Romanian gymnast Diana Chelaru on Sunday won the silver medal in floor exercise at the same event.  Romanian Sandra Izbasa placed seventh in floor exercise, with a 13,983.  Porgras is considered to be one of the most artistic gymnasts of her generation, reminiscent of the Eastern European gymnasts of the 1980s.
