Romanian Mihai Chitu wins the third local edition of the Voice singing competition

Romanian Mihai Chitu (in picture) won the third local edition of the Voice, the TV show format translated as Vocea Romaniei, and the prize of EUR 100,000.

He is the third artist to win the singing competition, after Stefan Stan and Julie Mayaya.

“I attended every audition of this show. I went home at both the first and the second editions, but I won the third,” said Mihai Chitu.

Mihai Chitu, who was coached by Romanian singer Horia Brenciu, singed three songs in the final: Lara Fabian’s Caruso, a compilation of Romanian songs (together with Romanian artist Corina Chiriac - in the video below), and O sole mio, in duet with Horia Brenciu.
