Romanian home decoration chain Nobila Casa targets 35% sales increase, opens new shop in Bucharest

Romanian home decoration store chain Nobila Casa opened its first shop in Bucharest, in Unirea Shopping Center, its tenth unit so far, the company announced. The company also plans another opening this year.

The company estimates that its sales will increase by 35 percent this year, to EUR 2.7 million. Last year, the company’s sales were up 50 percent, to EUR 2 million. It employs almost 60 people.

Nobila Casa, which is owned by local entrepreneur Zsuzsanna Szekely and her two daughters, sells home decorations mostly under its own brands. They started with a small sewing workshop and a small home textiles shop of just 20 square meters.

They invested EUR 30,000 in the new store in Bucharest, which is located on the third floor of Unirea Shopping Center. It has a surface of 200 square meters plus a small workshop for curtains and drapes and a storage.

Nobila Casa sells English porcelain, glass articles and cutlery, under the brand Margo by Mendola Dining, cooking pots under the brand Mendola Kitchen, but also decorating products, pillows and linens under the brands Mendola Art, mendola Home Textiles and Mendola Bedding.

Nobila Casa also has its own curtains and draperies lines branded Mendola Fabrics.
