A medical center for students who study in Bucharest but have the residence outside the capital city will be built in the Romanian capital city next year, according to the Bucharest Mayor Sorin Oprescu. “We will build a medical center for emergency situations. It will take more time until we'll create a hospital for students”, said Sorin Oprescu, quoted by Mediafax newswire.

The Mayor of the capital city also added that after two years of solving the problem of hospitals, in which the municipality has invested over EUR 80 million, now it is the time to solve the medical problem in schools. “We've finished with hospitals, now we will deal with schools. Medical offices in schools will be equipped, the staff' salaries will be paid by the municipality, and a permanent link with health care professionals will be created so that the medical emergencies to be detected immediately,” added the Mayor.
