Romanian Brad Florescu, among finalists to become the modern Marco Polo, or land China’s Dream Job

Romanian Brad Florescu reached the finals for China’s Dream Job, being one of the five participants that have the chance to represent Hangzhou town internationally.

The Hangzhou Tourism Bureau launched this competition in March 2013.

To promote the city, the Chinese thought of recruiting a tourism ambassador - the “Modern Marco Polo” - whowill receive a two-week trip in Hangzhou and a salary of EUR 40,000, according to a post on Tedoo.ro, which is Brad's media project.

The entries were made public on the special Facebook page and the pre-selection lasted a year.

Only five participants reached the finals, namely an Australian, a Swiss, an American, a French and a Romanian.
