Romanian billionaire’s lawyer dies after being hit by the subway train
A man died on Monday after being hit by the subway train in the Universitate station. Two days later the Romanian media found out that the man was one of the lawyers of Romanian businessman Dan Adamescu. He was just 36 and he represented Adamescu in several trials, most of them commercial, according to Digi 24 news TV station.
His death came just one day before prosecutors went to search Adamescu’s house and the headquarters of the Astra insurance company, which he owns. Prosecutors suspect that Adamescu tried to bribe four judges, which were arrested on Tuesday for corruption.
