Romania to welcome 250 snooker players for European Snooker Championship in Bucharest in March
More than 250 snooker players from 30 countries will be in Bucharest between March 18 and 29 for the European Snooker Championship, the Under 21 and Senior Teams competitions.
Taking place at the Caro Hotel in Bucharest's Floreasca area, the championship will also gather 47 Romanian players.
Romania should have organized the World Snooker Championship this year, but also accepted to organize the European Championship, which should have taken place in Israel.
An international gala dedicated to snooker will be organized by on March 23 at the Press House. Organizers of the event are the Romanian Snooker Federation and Innovation Travel.
Snooker is a cue sport played on a table covered with a green cloth, and equipped with pockets in each of the four corners and a further two on the sides. It is played using a cue and 22 snooker balls.
