Romania, third largest industrial production drop in EU for February

Romania posted the third largest industrial production drop in February this year in the European Union, of 0.4 percent month-on-month, and 2.1 percent year-on-year. The country thus follows Croatia and Estonia, which rank first and second.

All three countries went against the eurozone trend, where the average industrial production was up 0.2 percent on January, and up 1.7 percent year-on-year, according to data from Eurostat. Romania is not part of the eurozone.

In the EU 28 region, which also includes Romania, the monthly increase in industrial production was of 0.4 percent in February. Year-on-year, industrial production grew by 2.1 percent in the EU28.
