Romania brings nine medals home from Balkan Indoor Athletic Championship in Istanbul

Romania won nine medals at the Balkan Indoor Athletic Championship with the team taking home four golds, three silvers and two bronze at the championship in Istanbul.

Bianca Razor, Mihaela Nunu, Cristina Sandu and Anca Heltne took first place on the podium for running, triple jump and weights, while Andrei Gag, Alina Rotaru and Ancuţa Bobocel won silver for shot put, long jump and running, respectively. Bronze medals went to Ioan Zăizan and Cristina Casandra, both for running competitions.

Romania ranked first in the women's teams competition, and second after Turkey in the men's teams competition in the official ranking.
