Which public personalities do Romanians trust the most?

A recent INSCOP survey reveals that Romanians continue to trust President Klaus Iohannis.

According to the survey conducted between July 9 and July 14, 61.6% of Romanians have confidence and great confidence in the Romanian President, down from 65% in April.

Central Bank governor Mugur Isarescu comes next with a share of 42.8% (up from 40.1% in April), followed by Romania's ambassador to the US George Maior – 27.6% (up from 24.8%), and Prime Minister Victor Ponta – 21.7% (down from 24.4%).

The top 10 is completed by Bucharest Mayor Sorin Oprescu – 21.6%, Foreign Intelligence Service (SIE) director Mihai Razvan Ungureanu – 19.7%, Deputy Prime Minister Gabriel Oprea – 17.4%, former Minister of Justice Catalin Predoiu – 16.8%, former president of the Senate Mircea Geoana – 16.1%, and former Prime Minister Calin Popescu Tariceanu – 16%.

The list continues with former President Traian Basescu, president of the National Liberal Party PNL Alina Gorghiu, Presidency candidate Monica Macovei, Minister of Labor Rovana Plumb, PNL co-president Vasile Blaga, interim president of the Social Democratic Party PSD Liviu Dragnea, former President Ion Iliescu, former Tourism Minister Elena Udrea, MEP Laszlo Tokes, and the president of the Democratic Union of Hungarians in Romania Kelemen Hunor.

The survey was conducted on a sample of over 1,000 people, at the request of local newspaper Adevarul.
