Orange Romania to move half of its employees to Skanska’s Green Court Bucharest office building

16 June 2014

Orange Romania, the country’s largest mobile communications operator by revenues, will move 1,500 of its 2,900 employees to the Green Court Bucharest office building, which is developed by Swedish group Skanksa.

Orange signed a contract to lease 8 floors of the building for a total of 13,700 square meters. The relocation process will start in autumn this year. The lease contract was intermediated by BNP Paribas.

The first building of the Green Court office project in Bucharest will be 90 percent occupied following this contract. Skanska is now working on a second building, which should be finalized in the second half of 2015. Green Court will have three buildings in total with 52,000 square meters of class A offices. Each building will have 12 floors and 3 underground parking levels. The project uses green technologies. The buildings are located on the Barbu Vacarescu blvd., close to Aviatorilor subway stations.

That area of Bucharest saw a rapid development in recent years with a few important office buildings being finalized. One of them is the Sky Tower, developed by Austrian group Raiffeisen. Another one is Floreasca Park, where Oracle Romania recently started moving its operations.
