Oil company plans to invest over USD 200 mln in Romania

Oil company KMG International, the former Rompetrol Grup, has an investment plan of over USD 200 million for 2015 in Romania.

About half of it will cover the general revision of the Petromidia refinery, said Azamat Zhangulov, senior vice-president.

Every five years, the company undertakes capital repairs at the refinery, which operated last year at full capacity and didn’t record any scheduled or accidental stop. It processed 13,800 tonnes a day.

The group will also invest in smaller projects in the Midia port and some other additional investments.

KMG will also invest in developing its retail segment, and it will continue investing in rebranding its gas stations.

KMG International is the local subsidiary of the Kazakhstan state-owned oil company KazMunayGas.
