08 February 2011

Romanian law firm Nestor Nestor Diculescu Kingston Petersen (NNDKP) has taken over law firm Cionca Bidiga Godinca, the legal division of Casa de Insolventa Transilvania SPRL and has thus opened an office in Cluj Napoca, the firm has announced.

“The investments in our regional offices in Timişoara (2003), Braşov (2007) Craiova (2010)and Cluj (2011) have by now exceeded EUR 200,000 and the income generated by the regional offices is around 8 percent of the company’s turnover”, said Ion Nestor, one of NNDKP’s Managing Partners. In the future, the law firm intends to continue its policy of expanding nationally, started seven years ago, by opening a new regional office in Iasi.

The local Cluj team is coordinated by Cristina Bidiga, who has extensive expertise in fields such as litigation, labor and commercial law. “The opening of the new office is an essential strategic decision that flows naturally from the partnership concluded last year with the colleagues from Casa de Insolventa Transilvania and that helps us provide more efficient legal services to our regional clients, e.g., Nokia, Bechtel, by cutting down logistic costs and by minimizing the response time to the requests for legal services”, said Simona Neagu, partner and coordinator of the Cluj Office.

NNDKP law firm posted revenues of EUR 16 million in 2009, according to its data. The firm was set up in 1990 by Ion and Manuela Nestor.
