New earthquake in Romania

An earthquake with the magnitude of 4.5 degrees on the Richter scale took place in the Vrancea seismic area of Romania on Sunday, at 23:04, according to the National Institute for Research in Earth’s Physics (INCDFP).

This came just two weeks after the largest earthquake in Romania in recent years, which took place on November 22, and had a magnitude of 5.7. The new earthquake took place in exactly the same place as the one on November 22, also at 40 kilometres below the surface.
