Natuzzi to shift production of couches from Romania to Italy

Italian furniture producer Natuzzi recently decided to move production of couches from its factory in Romania to one in Puglia, Italy, according to Il Sole 24 Ore.

Natuzzi will thus transfer production of 130,000 couches, and said it would hire 120 people in Italy.
The Italian furniture producer runs a factory in Romania, Italsofa, at Baia Mare, and is one of the main furniture producers in Romania.

Founded in1959 by Pasquale Natuzzi - current Chairman and Chief Executive Officer - Natuzzi Group designs, produces and sells a broad collection of sofas, armchairs, home furniture and home accessories.

The company runs factories in Italy, China, Brazil and Romania. The producer’s turnover stood at some EUR 451 million in 2013, when it had 6,300 employees.
