Austrian construction materials producer Leier has ongoing investments of over EUR 25 million in Romania.

The company will open two new concrete factories in Arad and Cluj counties next year. It will also launch a new production line for concrete prefabricates in Iasi, News.ro reported.

The other investments are aimed at developing and improving the production technology in the group’s existing factories.

Leier opened its first factory in Romania in 2006, in Alba. In 2018, the Austrian group bought the biggest local brick factory – Brikston Iasi, and, in 2019, it consolidated its position by acquiring roof tile producer Siceram.

The Leier group is active in seven countries (Austria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Croatia and Ukraine) in the sectors of construction materials production, marketing and service of premium vehicles (BMW, Mini, Hyundai and Skoda), in real estate and metal fabrication / mechanical engineering.

The Leier group currently has a turnover of over EUR 350 million.
