Kenyan-born athlete representing Romania wins Seoul marathon

Kenyan long-distance runner Joan Chelimo Melly won the Seoul Marathon on April 17, the Romanian Athletics Federation announced.

Joan Chelimo Melly received Romanian citizenship last year, alongside her colleagues from CSA Steaua Bucharest Club, Stella Ruto and Delvine Meringor.

The Seoul event had prizes totaling some USD 2.4 million.
