Insurance company Allianz-Tiriac Asigurari ended 2013 with total subscribed premiums from general and life insurance of RON 926.5 million (EUR 210 million), up from RON 908 million (some EUR 204 million) reported a year before. The increase was mainly supported by the positive evolution on the general insurance segment, which makes up 88.9 percent of total revenues.

The operational profit was of RON 28 million (EUR 6.3 million) last year, higher compared to the RON 6.6 million (EUR 1.4 million) reported the year before, according to the insurer’s preliminary results.

In 2013, the value of the gross written premiums from the general insurance activity was RON 823.7 million (some EUR 186 million). The value of claims paid by Allizant-Tiriac to customers amounted to RON 478.3 million (EUR 108 million) last year.

The sales of car insurance - Casco and RCA went up 1.5 percent in 2013, compared to the previous year, according to Allianz-Tiriac Asigurari.

In the life insurance segment, the value of gross written premiums was of RON 102.8 million (over EUR 23 million), close to the level reported in 2012.

According to Remi Vrignaud, the company’s general manager, Allianz-Tiriac Asigurari targets total subscribed premiums of RON 950 million (over EUR 211 million) this year, higher than in 2013.
