Seven dead and eight injured after a car accident last night (August 9 ) on a national road in Tulcea county. Two cars were apparently illegally racing, while a third was going to Tulcea, to a wedding. All three cars involved in the accident were powerful models: two Audi A6s and a BMW, and according to preliminary data, driving at high speed. One of the cars broke in two and burst into flames after the accident.

Six people were found dead at the scene of the accident and the seventh died during surgery.

Of those injured, four are in a coma, including a 10-year old with a cerebral trauma. The victims were transported to various hospitals in Romania.
