Frenchman Pascal Candau took over as general manager of Renault’s engineering center in Romania, Renault Technologie Roumanie, at the beginning of April. He replaced Romanian Sorin Buse, who has held this position since 2010 and will take on another job within the group.

Pascal Candau, 53, was previously in Romania in 2012, as deputy general manager of Renault Technologie Roumanie, but only stayed for a year as he was promoted to head engineer for Renault’s Entry segment at Technocentre in France. He has been working for Renault since 1987 as an engineer, holding various positions within the group.

Renault Technologie Roumanie (RTR) is the French group’s largest engineering center outside France and the only one in the Eastern European and Mediterranean region. The center has about 2,100 engineers and develops vehicles and components for Renault’s Entry segment, which includes the Romanian Dacia brand.
