This year’s edition of Gaudeamus International Book Fair, recently organized in Bucharest, attracted some 117,000 visitors, this being a new record for the event. In 2013, the fair registered 115,000 visitors.

There were also more events organized during the 2014 edition of the fair: 750, reports local Mediafax. A total of 320 exhibitors were present, representing some of the most important segments in the editorial and educational areas.

The most wanted book of the fair was Step by Step (Pas cu Pas), the autobiography of Romania’s newly elected President Klaus Iohannis.

The event’s guest of honour was the Russian Federation and the privileged partner was GADIF (Group of Francophone Embassies, Delegations and Institutions in Romania).

Gaudeamus Book Fair was organized between November 19 and November 23 at Romexpo in Bucharest.
