Famous Spanish tenor to perform in Romania’s Cluj-Napoca this autumn

Well-known Spanish tenor Jose Carreras will perform for the first time in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca this autumn. The concert is scheduled to take place at Sala Polivalenta on November 29.

This will be his second concert in Romania this fall, as he will also have on in Bucharest, at Romexpo, on November 26.

The concert, called The Very Best of Jose Carreras, will include famous songs such as La Donna e Mobile and Nessun Dorma, as well as opera and operetta arias, and musicals.

Jose Carreras was born in Barcelona in 1946. He started his musical career in 1970 at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. He gained fame with a wider audience as one of the Three Tenors, together with Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti, in a series of concerts organized between 1990 and 2003. He has also performed and recorded with artists from outside the classical music world, such as Diana Ross, Klaus Meine, Charles Aznavour, and Sarah Brightman.

Tickets for the concert in Cluj-Napoca cost between RON 150 and RON 500 and can be purchased from Flanco, Domo, Germanos, Vodafone, and Orange stores, Librarium bookshops, Carrefour, Cora, and Iulius Mall.
