Eurostat: Romania's new industrial orders post fifth annual growth in EU in September

Romania posted an annual advance of 14.5 percent on industrial new orders in September, ranking fifth in EU, according to Eurostat. Compared to August this year, Romania reported a growth of 2.3 percent.

In September 2011, industrial new orders increased by 1.6 percent year-on-year in the euro area and by 2.3 percent in the EU27.

The highest increases in September this year compared to the same month in 2010 were recorded in Latvia, with 37.7 percent, followed by Denmark with 31.2 percent, Lithuania with 28.9 percent, and Poland with 18 percent. Compared to the previous month, Denmark posted the highest increase of 14 percent in September.
