Draexlmaier to hire 500 staff for new factory in Romania

29 April 2014

German group Draexlmaier will hire 500 people this year in Romania for a new factory at Pitesti, which will manufacture components and wiring. These will add to the existing 14,000 people who work for Draexlmaier in its five Romanian factories, according to the company.

The company hired 1,500 staff last year, when it expanded its units in Brasov and Satu Mare.

The German investor earlier this year opened a new company headquartered in Timisoara, Sisteme de Producţie Cablaje SRL, which will open a subsidiary in Pitesti as well.

“Romanian specialists have proven, time and again, that the group’s investments deserve being directed here,” said Peter Wocheslander, director of the new company.
