Chinese company, ready to start building neighborhood in Romania
Chinese company Shandong Ningjian Construction Group inaugurated on April 7 the construction work for the neighborhood it will build in Craiova, Romania.
Prime Minister Victor Ponta and the Ambassador of China to Bucharest, Xu Feihong, attended the inauguration.
The Chinese company has signed a memorandum with the Craiova City Hall to build a neighborhood with 23 apartment blocks, stretching over 182,000 sqm, reports local Agerpres. The residential compound will include 1,819 apartments.
The National Defense Ministry has offered the Craiova City Hall the plot where the Chinese will build the apartments.
The project is a pilot investment in Romania. It is the first time when the public administration signs such a contract with a Chinese company.
