C&A is the abbreviation of the two founders of the brand’s names, Clemens & August Brenninkmeyer, the two brothers who founded the company in 1841. Today, C&A has 1,400 stores in 19 countries. The chain entered the Romanian market in 2009 and runs eight stores, according to its website.

Iris Shopping Center was developed by real estate company Avrig 35 and sold to DEGI in 2008.
