Bucharest Stock Exchange shares floating on own platform on June 8

The Bucharest Stock Exchange platform, the biggest stock market operator in Romania, will host its own shares floating starting June 8. Based on the acquisition announcements in the last weeks, the BSE was valued at around EUR 70 million. Last year, BSE posted a profit of EUR 2 million.

This is the first important company floating and IPO in the last two years.

BSE is currently owned by the 70 stock market brokerage firms, which hold 80 percent of its shares and which they will be able to sell their shares on the market. Two individuals, Daniel Tepes and Mircea Musgociu are also shareholders in BSE, with 4.5 and 4.3 percent of the shares, respectively. The holding threshold for BSE is 5 percent.
