Bucharest hosts Children's Theater International Festival in early October

This year’s edition of the Children's Theater International Festival will take place between October 3 and October 10 in Bucharest. A total of 50 events will be organized during the festival, including dramatic theater, musicals, dance-theater, circus, and workshops for children.

The event has two competitive sections - performances for the 1-6 years category, and shows for the over 6 category, and an Off section dedicated to interactive performances and related events which are not included in the competitive sections.

The events will take place at Excelsior Theater, the Children Comic Opera, the Comedy Theater, Creart, and the National Dance Center.

Some of the festival’s guests are Italian La Baracca Testoni Ragazzi, Teatro Prova, Antonio Panzuto, TAM Teatromusica, and Principio Attivo, Spain’s Roseland Musical and Markeliῆe, Slovakia’s The Puppet Theatre at the Crossroads, Danish Dansmakers Amsterdam, German Kabaré Púpala, and Argentina’s Mandragora Circo. Romanian theaters such as Ariel Theater from Tragu Mures, Tineretului Theater from Piatra Neamt, Regina Maria Theater – Arcadia Group from Oradea, and Arlechino Theater from Brasov will also be present at the festival.
