British drum and bass duo Chase & Status confirm B’estfest appearance this summer in Romania

Saul Milton and Will Kennard from England, best known as Chase & Status, will bring their live show to Romania this summer. The electronic duo are the first headliners confirmed for the B’estfest Summer Camp festival this year, according to the organizers - Emagic. The festival will be held between July 5 and July 7, 2013, in Tunari, near Bucharest.

The two music producers met in London in 2003, mainly due to their mutual interest for drum and bass. Their first production, a remix for Future Cut, was released in 2004. The remix was followed by a series of drum and bass tunes for underground labels in the UK.  Chase & Status’ debut album More Than A Lot was released in 2008, and received the Best Album Award at the 2009 Drum and Bass awards. The second album No More Idols was released in 2010.

The duo began fine tuning their live show in 2009, which debuted at the BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend that year. The set up includes Andy Gangadeen on drums and Rage as their MC. The show has had five sold out UK tours, three sold out European tours, two sold out US tours and many festival appearances around the world, including Coachella, Big Day Out, Ibiza Rocks, Summersonic in Japan. A three-day pass at this year’s B’estfest Summer Camp edition is currently on sale for RON 150 and can be purchased here. The festival’s 2012 lineup included names such as Pulp, Garbage, Royksopp, Caro Emerald, Modestep, Selah Sue, Booka Shade, Milow, Skindread, Dope DOD, Trolley Snatch, Andy C, Kreator, Meshuggah and Moonspell.
