Belgian Electrawinds to build solar farm in Fierbinti, Romania

Belgian company Electrawinds will open a solar farm in Fierbinti, Romania by the end of next year. The solar farm will have a 10 MW capacity, and the investment amounts at EUR 2.5 to EUR 3 million per every MW installed, most of the amounts coming from bank loans, including institutional creditors.

The farm will be built on a total area of ​​4 hectares, which has been leased for a period of 30 years by Electrawinds from the local authorities. The company still has to obtain permits for building the solar farm.

The company already operates a 3 MW wind farm in Constana County, Romania, and wants to reach a capacity of 200 MW in wind, solar and biomass projects.
