Anonimul Film Festival moves from Romania's Danube Delta

22 July 2014

This year’s edition of the Anonimul International Independent Film Festival will no longer take place in the Danube Delta as usually, but at the Verde Stop arena in Bucharest. The event will be organized between August 12 and August 17, and will include films, workshops and music. The entrance for screenings will be free of charge.

The program maintains its structure, featuring the international panorama: feature films awarded at important film festivals in 2014, tributes and retrospectives, the Romanian OFF section and the Anonimul competition: feature film, short fiction and short animation.

Registrations for the short film competition were made between March 31 and May 31, and the final selection was made by Romanian film critic Irina-Margareta Nistor. She chose 31 short films out of the 400 submitted.

The Feature Film competition will present titles proposed by the festival’s official selector, Ludmila Cvikova - head of International Programming at the Doha Film Institute. The competition’s lineup will be announced in late-July.
