American Saul Williams brings alternative hip hop on stage in Romania in December

American artists Saul Williams will perform for the first time in Romania on December 10, according to the organizers, Ginger Group and Blame It. Information about the exact location and the ticket prices are yet to be announced.

Saul Williams is an American poet, writer, actor and musician born in Febrary 1972. He is well-known for his poetry and alternative hip-hop, but also for his leading role in the 1998 independent film “Slam”. By 1995 he had become an open mic poet and, in 1996, he won the title of Nuyorican Poets Cafe's Grand Slam Champion.

He has collaborations with artists like Nas, The Fugees, Christian Alvarez, Blackalicious, Erykah Badu, KRS-One, Zack De La Rocha, De La Soul, DJ Krust, as well as with poets like Allen Ginsberg and Sonia Sanchez. As a writer, Saul Williams is published in The New York Times, Esquire, Bomb Magazine and African Voices. Read more about him on his official website here.
