Air Baltic to operate flights from Romania’s Otopeni Airport

Latvian airline Air Baltic will introduce flights from Bucharest to Riga in June this year, the price of a round trip starting at EUR 180, according to data on the company’s website, quoted by local business daily Ziarul Financiar.

The Latvian state is Air Baltic’s main shareholder. In 2012, the company carried over three million passengers.

Last year, Air Serbia and low-cost airline EasyJet have started operating flights from Bucharest’s Otopeni Airport.

The airport counted 3.5 million passengers in the first half of 2013, slightly up over the same period in 2012.
