US firm recruits 50 people in Western Romania
US firm ACI Worldwide, which develops software for electronic payments and has been present in Timisoara in Western Romania for over ten years, has moved its local office to the UBC 2 building in the Openville complex.
The company plans to hire 50 more people adding to its 200 current employees, reports local Ziarul Financiar.
The company occupies 3,500 sqm in the UBC 2 building, which covers in total 18,000 sqm. Other tenants in the building include car safety components producer Autoliv, software engineering provider Ness, audit firm PwC, IT security solutions producer Bitdefender and health care provider Regina Maria.
The Openville project, developed by Iulius Group, will include seven office buildings, with a total area of 130,000 sqm.
Last month, investor Iulian Dascalu, who controls Iulius group, sold half of his stake in the companies operating the four Iulius malls in Iasi, Timisoara, Cluj and Suceava to the investment fund Atterbury Europe.
