World Class, the largest chain of wellness clubs in Romania, has recently taken over the Le Club fitness club in northern Bucharest. Le Club is located in Cartierul Francez (The French Quarter), one of Bucharest's most exclusive areas.

After revamping works estimated at more than EUR 500,000, the club will reopen in March 2016 under the W premium concept. It will be World Class’ second W club in Bucharest.

The fitness center covers more than 4,600 sqm and offers several premium services such as a fitness area, an aerobics and cycling studio, a pool and a relaxing area, and tennis and squash courts. It will also feature a SPA area with Jacuzzi, sauna and massage services, and special programs for children.

The first W club was opened this summer near the Charles de Gaulle Square.

World Class runs 19 centers across the country and has more than 35,000 members. Private equity investment fund Resource Partners is the main shareholder of World Class Romania, being supported by four investors: EBRD, AXA, Rabobank, and EIF.
