The traffic on the International Airport “Avram Iancu” in Cluj increased in the first quarter of the year by 34% year-on-year.

The traffic will reach 1.3 million passengers this year, up 10% on 2014, said the airport’s director David Ciceo.

The passenger traffic has continuously increased in the last years after the airport managed to exceed one million passengers in 2010.

The Cluj airport ranks second nationally, with 1.18 million passengers, after the Otopeni Airport in Bucharest.

However, Ciceo added that he’ll have to refuse aircraft if the airport’s parking problem will not be solved.

The Cluj airport celebrated yesterday 83 years of existence.
