SAP Romania, the local subsidiary of German business software producer SAP, plans to increase its team by 50% in the next two years. The company currently has about 400 employees in three service centers in Bucharest, Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca.

“In the next two years we estimate that we will increase this number to 600,” said Valentin Tomsa, general manager of SAP Romania, quoted by local Ecnomica.net.

Programmers in Romania have contributed to the group’s global portfolio. A software they created is now used by SAP’s clients in the US.

SAP Romania also aims to increase its sales on the local market, by attracting 50 new customers in 2015. The company mainly targets companies owned by local entrepreneurs.

SAP already serves companies such as Dedeman, Albalact and Fan Courier, as well as OMV Petrom and The Rompetrol Group.
