The operational leasing market exceeded 50,000 units under management in the first quarter of 2015 in Romania. The number went up by 16% year-on-year.

Between January and March, operational leasing companies registered over 2,500 cars, namely 15% of all new registrations. It went up by 8.5% over the same period last year, according to The Association of Operational Leasing Companies (ASLO).

The top 5 companies in this market include LeasePlan Romania, ALD Automotive, Porsche Mobility, Arval Service Lease Romania and Fleet Management Services, according to ASLO.

“We have already reached half of the estimated maximum of 100,000 vehicles, but the customers’ trust in the advantage of outsourcing fleet management can help us expand the market,” said Bogdan Apahidean, ASLO president, cited by local Capital.ro.
