Romania's Ministry of Finance wants to borrow highest amount in 4 years
The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) wants to borrow this month EUR 1.12 billion through the sale of bonds.
This would be the highest bond issuance since February 2011 and would exceed the EUR 810 million the MFP borrowed in January.
The state wishes to get EUR 1.01 billion through reference auctions and EUR 108 million through additional sessions.
If the state manages to borrow this amount, it will cover in two months its financing need for the entire year, says Vlad Muscalu, chief economist with ING Bank Romania, cited by local Mediafax.
