Romania's Ministry of Finance borrows EUR 45 million

The Romanian Ministry of Finance borrowed on Monday, April 20, some EUR 45.1 million from commercial banks, through an auction of government bonds with a residual maturity of 74 months, at an average yield of 2.7%.

The banks’ requests amounted to EUR 100 million, reports local Economica.net.

The Ministry will organize today an additional session, to borrow another EUR 6.7 million, at the yield established on Monday.

In April, the Finance Ministry wants to borrow EUR 614 million. Of these, it will raise EUR 563 million through six auctions of treasury bills and bonds and EUR 50.7 million through additional sessions of non-competitive bidding.
