Romania's Ministry of Finance borrows additional EUR 20 million

The Ministry of Public Finance (MPF) on Tuesday, February 3, borrowed EUR 20.4 million from commercial banks, extra to the government bonds auction on Monday, at an average yield of 2.94%.

It was a record low for the Romanian state bonds with maturities higher than 10 years.

The six participating banks underwrote deals worth EUR 34.7 million, reports local Capital.ro

. MFP intends to borrow in 2015 about EUR 2.26-2.72 billion by issuing treasury bills and EUR 5.6 - 6.3 billion through benchmark bonds.
