Romania's Intelligence Service receives five bids for EUR 7 mln contract

The Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) has received five bids for supplying IT equipment to protect the country’s IT&C infrastructure against cyber attacks, in a project worth EUR 7.2 million.

The bidders include Kapsch Romania and four joint ventures: Mira Telecom, Logika IT Solutions and Frontal Communication; Logic Computer and Revitalco Management&Consulting; Certsign and UTI Grup, and Softline International, European Funds Invest, Transcendence Systems Group and S&T Romania.

The four-month project will be financed from European funds and the state budget, reports local Mediafax.

Starting January 2014, SRI has launched 14 other auctions to buy equipment for protection against cyber attacks, via contracts worth about EUR 47 million.
