Romania's Finance Ministry borrows EUR 112 mln at record low

The Romanian Public Finance Ministry attracted on Monday, March 23, EUR 112.7 million for three months through a discount treasury bills issuance, at a yield of 1.2% per year, a record low for loans below one year.

The nine banks which took part at the auction subscribed offers worth EUR 257 million, reports local Capital.ro.

On March 26, the Finance Ministry will launch a new issue of discount treasury bills worth EUR 225 million, with a one-year maturity.

Romania plans to borrow some EUR 752 million from commercial banks in March, EUR 698 million of which through seven auctions of treasury bills and bonds, and some EUR 54 million through additional session of non-competitive bonds, related to bond auctions.
